Just as a skilled craftsman focuses his entire attention on
creating a masterpiece, we single-mindedly focus on the quality
of our work and our work place. We believe standardization of
our operations will enable us to improve the quality, in particular,
the consistency and efficiency of our services.
We take pride in the fact that we are the pioneer container depot in
Sri anka to achieve ISO 9002:1994 quality management system in 1999.
At present we are ISO 9001:2000 accredited and have succeeded in
winning the national HRM award for the medium scale service sector
and the Sri Lanka National Quality Award. We were also recognized as
the best depot of the year 2000 by Textainer Equipment Management Ltd.
We crowned our success by winning the National Award for Export Excellence
for the year 2003.
We practice the 5 S methods, the Malcolm Baldrige criteria,
the balanced score card concept called the "LIL navigator"
and several other systems we have developed on our own in
order to improve our services. These methods execute quality
through Organization, Neatness, Cleanliness, Standardization
and Discipline and encourages employees to work as teams to
organize their work place and process. Through our Continual
Improvement projects we strive to improve our standards above
our customer expectations.
Our Team LIL has successfully implemented quality systems
which are custom tailored. All these quality enhancing methods
are currently in full operation ensuring organized activities
and uncluttered, hygienic and safe work places and timely
deliverance of our services with maximum quality and the highest
team spirit.
